อินเวอร์เตอร์ โซล่าเซลล์ (Inverter) หรือเรียกอีกอย่างหนึ่งว่า โซล่า อินเวอร์เตอร์ อินเวอร์เตอร์เป็นอุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกทางไฟฟ้าที่เป็นเครื่องมือในการเปลี่ยนไฟฟ้ากระแสสลับ (AC)ให้เป็นไฟฟ้ากระแสตรง(DC) แล้วต่อจากนั้นไฟฟ้ากระแสตรงที่ได้ก็จะถูกแปลงเป็นไฟฟ้ากระแสสลับที่สามารถควบคุมและปรับขนาดของแรงดันและความถี่ได้โดยการทำงานของอินเวอร์เตอร์

ซึ่งองค์ประกอบภายในของอินเวอร์เตอร์ จะประกอบด้วย

1. ชุดคอนเวอร์เตอร์ ซึ่งจะทำหน้าที่แปลงไฟฟ้ากระแสสลับจากแหล่งจ่ายไฟ AC ให้เป็นไฟฟ้ากระแสตรง DC
   
2. ชุดอินเวอร์เตอร์ จะทำหน้าที่แปลงไฟฟ้ากระแสตรง DC ให้เป็นไฟฟ้ากระแสสลับ AC ที่สามารถปรับขนาดของแรงดันและความถี่ได้ ซึ่งวรจรที่1 และ2 จะเป็นวงจรหลักที่ทำหน้าที่แปลงรูปคลื่นและผ่านพลังงานของอินเวอร์เตอร์
   
3. ชุดวงจรควบคุม ทำหน้าที่ควบคุมการทำงานของชุดคอนเวอร์เตอร์ และชุดอินเวอร์เตอร์
